Wow, we made it! 2011 was a challenging year at best for us. The twins were born (well at the end of 2010), came home in January and our life has been crazy ever since. I keep telling myself I’m going to write in baby books, organize pictures and keep our family and friends updated on our lives. What actually happened is somewhere in between that and I’ve yet to write a thing in baby books! So imagine my surprise when I found out you can create a blog and then print it out at the end of the year in a book format! What a great way to document our family life, keep everyone updated and have a memory book at the end of the year!
Enzo is now 2 1/2 and the terrible twos are kicking in. Not to say that he’s not the cutest little guy. He’s so imaginative and creative; everything in our house is an adventure for him. Yesterday he hung a metal slinky off his kitchen tower and said it was a vacuum truck! He loves the Richard Scary books and thanks to those he can explain how seeds grow, how we get cotton and how to build a road (from planning to final construction)! He’s doing preschool 2 1/2 hours a day, three days a week and loves it. The teachers say he’s loved by everyone and keeps them entertained during the day with his singing and dancing!
Oliver is 1 and crawling and climbing everything in site. You have to be careful what’s in the playroom because he will scale it in the time it takes you to sneeze. He’s always laughing and his doctor claimed at his one year checkup that he’s going to be a well-liked kid the way he communicates with his eyes and is so social. We’ve always called him ‘monkey’ and that sure seems to fit his personality!
Lauren is 1 and our little princess peanut. She’s quiet and takes in everything around her yet insists everything must be on her terms (eating, what to play with, books, etc.). She’s quickly learning that with two brothers she has to be clever and she’s already figured out to get Daddy wrapped around her little finger. Okay, truth be told, she’s got me wrapped around it too. She’s only 1 inch shorter than Oliver but 3 pounds lighter. She’s in the 10th percentile for weight, but the doctor says she’s just going to be a petite little girl. Guess she has the Clouse weight gene!
